The wonderfully talented and ever so creative geniaBeana Scraps has a brand new kit coming out today and it's filled with lovely flowers and a variety of papery elements that are sure to make your page pop. There are 20 papers which allow for a diverse amount of layouts. Every Day Moments is full of color and actual page and glue scrapping quality. This isn't your every day kit :) only the prettiest and most perfect kit for capturing all of your every day moments!

As shown by my what I am calling "covers" I like all of my documents to look as pretty as my digital stash folder so I made a cover for all of 2012's photos and then a cover for each month in anticipation of the book I'd love to get printed at the end of the year. I tried to stay month oriented so that you'd know the month just by sight of the cover. LOVE the way it turned out!

New Look, New Kit and a freebie!

First and foremost I've got a fresh new look to the blog. I love the white space aspect of scrapping the most and this feels good to me. It's clean and simple yet lovely to look at. It was created by Chanin of DoodleBlogs.com. I am in love with it and can't wait to see the first post with the new look. She was the first designer that I ever CT'd for and is still one of my favorites! Take a look at her site.

The weather is just the way I like it, warm but breezy. School is almost over and soon summer vacation will begin, yet another chapter in my life and it got me to thinking...how any simple moment can turn into a cherished memory - and how sometimes I look through the hundreds of pictures that I take and see one where I tell myself that I'm happy I caught it. It inspired me to create Captured Memories. Those little moments that you don't want to forget.

The colors are subdued yet bright and the combination of the brown and the soft pink is just divine! There are 12 papers, 47 elements and a full sized alpha with upper and lowercase letters, numbers 0-9 and some punctuation. The alpha is available separately as well for only $1.00! The kit is on sale for $3.50.

On the Hunt Release

Spring has sprung in my neck of the woods and I feel myself itching to be outside more and more. It's hard to tell what the weather will be like from day to day but the sunshine sure is refreshing!

It's impossible to judge for Easter time as to attire for the children - could be cold and a sleeveless dress just isn't going to cut it..hopefully this year's selections will work out whether it's cold or warm.

So in my thinking for an Easter themed kit I thought about the egg hunt! It's something that Ray's Dad does for the kids, separate areas for the younger and ilder children. The golden egg which is the hardest to find usually contains a crisp $20 bill and the kids will go to any length to locate it even if it means pushing each other out of brier filled paths or slipping on dewy grass in the yard.

This kit is versatile in that the elements aren't too themey and can be used for other layouts as well. The plaids and subtle colors mixed with the Easter pictures is sure to be a hit. The kit contains 12 papers, 6 solids and 6 plaids. Elements are perfectly matched in color with a ton of uses with small touches of metal for some shine, if so desired!

The alpha is simple but sweet and is included in the kit but available for purchase separately if desired.

Spring Forward Release

Today was the most spectacular Spring Day. I am waiting patiently for the trees to bud, only a few more weeks in my part of the US.

This is the perfect kit for jsut that type of day. The colors are bright and full of cheer and the elements allow for a wide variety of themes. The purples and greens are just what I needed to pull out of the cabin fever funk.

I wanted to create a kit that was quite nontraditional colors yet a similar theme. It's hard to make the idea in your head come to life sometimes but this bee followed me for days begging to be created. Of course there are your pinks and reds but what says love like black and gold?

My Heart's Dream - The February Blog Train

I LOVE Valentines Day. I might not make that fact so well known to most people but it's always meant something special to me. The chocolate gets me especially - anything in dark chocolate or caramel would be just fine!

The holidays are upon us and coming quicker than usual. I've been laid back as far as preparation goes and just doing things as I can and it seems to be working for me. I wanted it to be fun and not feel stressed over gifts or what I am going to make for the family get together. That is where the inspiration for this kit came from...fun.

Almost a week before school starts and I am anxious and nervous at the same time, one to kindergarten and one into Pre_k...they are growing up so fast and becoming their own little selves...Blossoming is what I think I'd call it and the thought of that created this great kit, perfect for a variety of layouts.

I love toile...always have and I think I always will. Maybe it is my extreme love of all things country or perhaps my desire to travel the french countryside someday. I wanted to do a toile kit that would reflect the images in my head and I think this is a home run! Hi all! It's been awhile since I've posted but I've got exciting news and a little sneak peek at an upcoming release.

The summer has found me begging for more hours in the day and although that hasn't happened I managed to find the time to get a new kit together and get into a new store!

Kit Release - Melancholy

A brand new kit that came from a contest. This is the kit that I made for the second round of the designer challenge/contest over at Gingerscraps. The challenge was to produce a kit using one color and only changing the hue...I found it very difficult as the colors all seemed too similar but then I realized that is exactly what we were asked to do and I guess that as a designer it was to show the ability to use limited resources including color.

Not to mention the fact that my favorite color is purple:) I wanted to include elements that concentrated on being different or offbeat, perhaps in color or dimension, things that might not make sense as a stand alone item but as a whole it came together nicely. I have gone through several periods of time where I was quite melancholy and wanted to show those feelings in softer terms, perhaps objects rather than words so that I could "feel" it rather than read it.

So here are a few layouts from my fabulous CT - I have been lucky enough to have some great gals on the team:)

Bella's Trinkets Freebie kit

So this was my week 3 challenge kit - theme was favorite movie, song or book. Since I haven't read a book in a LONG time that was out. I have tons of favorite songs but nothing came to me. And my favorite movie is not Twilight but I was listening to the soundtrack as I was looking for inspiration and it came to me.

The challenge was hard, almost no CU allowed on at least 15 elements and no patterned overlays. So I got my brain into work mode and managed to extract some really cool elements and did all the papers on my own. I think they came out really cool!

This weeks kit was done for a designer challenge/contest over at Gingerscraps. Initially the kit only contained a handful of papers and elements but I loved the colors and vibe of the kit that I had to revamp and add a few more pieces. Kit Release - Forever Heather and Wordart Freebie!

It is with a heavy heart that I release Forever Heather - a kit made as a tribute to a dear friend that passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago. She was the mother of my niece, a friend, a sister and a member of my family. She was a fantastic girl, full of life, smiles and mischief (lots of it!) and that is exactly how I will remember her.

I wanted the kit to reflect the loss but also the life that she did lead, the soft colors of her femininity, the florals to bring out her beauty and the whole kit to be a part of her now that she is gone. I felt strange about releasing it but after thinking about it I know that I am not the only one who has gone through a loss and felt the despair after that person is gone - this is meant to be a kit to use to remember those that we have lost and this says it best -

Do not cry because it is over, smile because it happened ~ Dr. Seuss

I worked on the wordart and it was a therapuetic process for me. I wanted to include things that weren't rememberance related but still meaningful to most. I hope that you enjoy them!

It's almost here and I am on pins and needles! I feel like it's taken so long to get to the store opening date but it's come together so quickly.

I wanted this kit to feel hopeful, grateful and sophisticated all at the same time so that is what inspired the encouraging wordart - the blues and greens are so hip right now and I think that the addition of black just finishes it off.

This has to be one of the funnest kits I've worked on. I wanted a different kind of Halloween feel. My little ones adore Jack from the Nightmare Before Christmas so I took that as my inspiration and used a cool color scheme that still had that Tim Burton feel of dark and light. Welcome to day 2 of the how Berry Sweet give away. This is the second paper pack and my favorites, if I do say so myself. The large strawberry 12 x 12 can easily be used for clipping other objects and just adds that much more to the entire kit.

I love, love, love making paper!! I still don't have the abilities of some of those great designers out there but slow and steady wins the race:)

Here are the dark papers - I really liked doing these! Dark papers are so much easier than lighter ones, getting the tones just right is a must. I guess it's a personal preference sometimes but all I know is that I adore these papers.
Gotta give a shout out to GB for some great advice on editing papers - what do ya think?

How Berry Sweet Freebies all Week!!

Announcing my very first kit freebie!! I dabble in designing so this took me quite some time to get it done but I am proud to say that it is in fact finished and I am SOO ready to let you see it!
Designing is definitely something that should be left to the professionals and that I am not, lol. I have a hard time calling it quits - it took several edits and then even more work until I was happy with it as a whole.

Today I have the alphabet for you which includes lower case, upper case, numbers and a bunch of special characters. This is what really inspired the whole kit, I just loved it so much and I knew that there had to be something built around it.
So here it is - make sure to come back tomorrow for another part of the kit!!

This is a page that I did as soon as the kit was done - I had to see how it would work in a layout before sending it out on it's own:)
